About

Aenigma Apparel was created to address the complexities we all inevitably face in this wonderful gift we call life. Started in 2020, the core of Aenigma has always been the same, to be at the intersection of mental health awareness and streetwear. However, our founder Christina Fortson (hey! writing this as we read lol) was 17 at the time and wanted to study psychology in college to be able to bring accurate mental health portrayals and information to her brand.

"The Smile Full Zip Hoodie was my way of bringing the dark into the light. We are not crafted to be social media perfect or to fit into anyone else’s expectations but our own. But what happens when we are the one’s hard on ourselves? When it’s just one of those times where a bad or even worse day happens? Do you mask and suppress or recognize and release? Sometimes even knowing the answers to these questions isn’t always helpful in some circumstances and that’s why Aenigma is all about duality, the human condition, and the beautiful uniqueness to our individual differences while still having community. I’ve always had envisioned for Aenigma to be built to grow and evolve over time, especially as our community and I grow and evolve over time too. Although I’m wrapping up my senior year in college, a whole lot more is on the way soon. I don’t want to spoil it all yet but here’s some things you can look forward to: A Blog (for behind the scenes, dialogue, mental health discussions, and more!), More Pop Ups Around ATL, and More on Aenigma's Story! Can’t wait to chat soon. Keep shooting for the stars & let ‘em wonder!"
